Our managed services take an end-to-end approach to radio, telematics and wireless communications and can be tailored to individual customer needs. From a complete end to end managed service where the entire infrastructure and end user devices are operated and managed by Affini, to bespoke packages that may include for example managed service for end user devices only with the customer owning the infrastructure; our flexible approach accommodates our customers preferred commercial and technical models as well as accommodating technology road mapping and digital transformation that may require a phased approach to implementing a full managed service.

One of our unique advantages is that we own and operate managed service platforms across airports in the UK and our experience in managing vendor neutral multi tenanted networks gives customers significant benefits through reducing cost, improving efficiency and performance and opportunities to commercialise their services.

Managed Services Phases - A brief overview of our approach to delivering managed services through the full life cycle

Phase 1 – Our Discovery Phase covers the objectives and requirements definition. This includes business case evaluation, user/ functional requirements gathering, technology evaluation, environmental considerations, existing infrastructure assessment together with license and regulatory aspects, timescales, commercials and service level requirements. Once all requirements are understood, a high level design and service proposal is presented and agreed before moving on to the next Phase.

Phase 2 - a low level design will be developed to cover all aspects of the agreed high level design to a level of detail that can be implemented. This will include a detailed programme of works, risk and method statements, stakeholder engagement and communications plan, user training plan, a transformation plan and service plan.

Phase 3 – Following agreement and sign off of a low level design, the Implementation Phase will cover all aspects of your hardware and software installation, ensuring that everything is fully integrated into your existing platforms and processes. Quality, resilience and reliability of voice and data are paramount throughout. We handle all configuration services and regulatory approvals, ensuring optimised software and hardware with a fully functional and forward compatible architecture.

Phase 4 – Following successful Implementation, our bespoke service package of ongoing maintenance and support will commence. Our networks are set up for streamlined proactive maintenance schedules, routine maintenance and rapid fault detection and resolution. Whether you want full network monitoring and 24/7 NOC services or a simple break fix arrangement, we tailor our levels of managed services to fit each customer’s needs.

A cloud based, wireless communication technology which maintains a continuous, half-duplex connection within or between user groups, it means that every user can speak to others simply by pressing the push-to-talk (PTT) key on their device, which may be a regular cellular phone. There is no need to dial numbers or actively answer calls.
